This is a fabulous lesson. Simple, and HIGHLY effective. Since trying this, my mid/ long irons have dramatically improved. I get a compressive hit on the ball and higher trajectory. Thanks Shawn! I have never heard this tip before.
Just love the simplicity of your teaching and the common sense way of instructing. Makes it so much easier for us weekend hackers who want to do the best they can while having fun and enjoying the game. Thank you!
Shawn, finding the correct plane. Does that apply to irons as well as the Driver?
Thanks,
Paul
Paul–this applies to every club in the bag. It proportionate to the length of the club and lie of the shaft.
Shawn on the down swing is it left arm that leads the club, or right arm
that pushes the club?
Please forward answer to starting down swing. Just let the arms fall and/or hip “bump” first?
John– best place to start is lettig the arms fall first.
Marc, Its both arms woking together. The arms fall and the hands square the club.
